In numerous cultures all over the globe, Christmas is a time to indulge. Civilizations around the world celebrate Christmas as a time for lavish indulgence. As the primary commercial holiday of the year, companies begin selling Christmas products and playing the Jingle Bell music as soon as Thanksgiving is over and sometimes earlier! Deluxe department stores including Sachs Fifth Avenue and Macy’s design exceptional window displays illustrating signs of Christmas in a brilliant show of glitter, snow, and red and green striped candy canes. Even countries like Japan, which is not considered a Christian country, find the holiday spirit and load up on gifts for the Christmas season. I guess the spirit of giving is irresistible even when split from its religious roots. The spirit of indulgence which Christmas brings upon us is not only extended to the gifts we give, but it branches out to encompass the ornaments we see all across town and best of all, the food we enjoy! Have you ever meandered through neighborhoods at night just to marvel at all of the Christmas lights on front lawns and roof tops? And how many times have you given yourself a belly ache with all the Christmas treats you ate at the holiday cookie exchange? These are all elements of Christmas which have become a custom and they are all about adding enjoyment to our lives in the gloomiest part of the year. Christmas is a time to celebrate life. In a religious context, Christmas is a celebration of the birth of God’s son on Earth, Jesus Christ. Even those who are less religious choose Christmas as a time to celebrate the company of their loved ones in their life. Christmas is a time for gourmet living as I have said before. Everything from the dishes you eat to the decorations you put up to the presents you give displays the season of the holiday, but they are not without cost. In difficult economic times, we see individuals limiting their Christmas spending and making necessary sacrifices to save money. Some people choose to buy an artificial tree to save themselves the expense of buying a new one each year. Others select energy efficient Christmas lights so they will have a smaller energy bill at the end of the season. And some individuals decide to forgo purchasing the store bought honey baked ham and to cook a chicken at home instead. No matter how your family chooses to save money this season, there is no reason why you should have to decrease your gift giving just to save money. At Baskets By Rita, we are committed to giving you the most for your money. Not only do our baskets ship globally, but they have the lavish appearance you want to communicate your wishes for a gourmet Christmas. Filled with gourmet treats of all varieties varying from wine to chocolate to cheese and crackers, our baskets invite their recipients to indulge. Our Hanukkah Gift Basket comes in several different price levels to accommodate your specific gift giving specifications. This Hanukka gift basket is a great choice for the Chanukah Hanukkah Holiday. Our Kosher gift basket contains smoked salmon, all natural pretzel dipper chips, chocolate dipped fruit, pistachios, crackers, Chocolate chip cookies, candles, raspberry honey mustard, fruit and nut bar, Jelly Belly candies, and Ghirardelli chocolates. We finish white washed basket with a beautiful blue and white bow. Send Hanukkah gifts to celebrate this special Jewish holiday. While many people wouldn’t complain about having a gift from someone they love, there have got to more personal ways of demonstrating your love and affection. Beer Gift Men Love!!
Along side cold weather comes savory comfort foods and aromatic seasoning. Visualize your favorite holiday snacks: pumpkin bread, egg nog, Bailey's and coffee, hot chocolate, and pecan pie. Each of these share the rich, heavy aroma that we normally associate with the holiday season. As the seasons transition into autumn, deli's and cafes bring forth their seasonal menu items. On a crisp, cold day, nothing curbs a craving such as a mug of spiced coffee or a warm cinnamon scone. As we frequently think of sweets and hot beverages when we think of seasonal foods, another favorite that springs to mind is seasonal beers. While a coffee enthusiast may anticipate the reintroduction of their favorite peppermint mocha latte, a beer enthusiast may wait faithfully for the return of their favorite pumpkin beer. In 2008, seasonal beers were the best selling craft beer in the country. There is undoubtedly something to be said for the impact seasonal food and beverages may have on our holiday spirit. The principle of beer and food pairing is especially significant with holiday and seasonal beers, since they are normally spiced differently than their year round alternatives. To comprehend the best way of pairing seasonal beers, it is important to know the different types that are out there. Oktoberfest beers are generally aged and as a result retain a stronger flavor. These pair best with hearty meat dishes such as pot roast. Harvest ales are brewed with seasonal spices and ingredients. These bold aromas pair well with the bold, rich foods the holidays are known best for. I’m confident you can place a few bets on which foods pair well with a pumpkin beer. Pumpkin is really a very neutral ingredient and lends itself to making for a good ale or lager. These beers pair well with lighter meats such as pork and chicken as well as seasonal vegetables such as corn and squash. It also pairs well with pumpkin pie. At Baskets By Rita we know a few things about pairing good beers with fine foods. Any of our seasonal beer baskets come with a variety of cheese, crackers, chocolates, and sausages paired to ignite your taste buds. Take for example our Beer Tub Gift . Our beer basket is a perfect gift for that beer lover. We fill our galvanized tub with a 6 pack of our Colorado Micro brews, chips and salsa, assorted nuts, beef jerky, beer cheese, crackers, trail mix, chocolate chip cookies, pretzels, popcorn and more. This beer gift basket is a great corporate thank you gift, welcome to your new job, birthday gift basket or even a host thank you gift on game day.. If you would like to give a one of a kind, personalized person this holiday season, why not think about sending a beer basket? I can’t think of a better treat for curling up by the fire place and delighting in good foods than cracking open a cold, Oktoberfest beer and absorbing the bliss and warmth of the season. Happy holidays! If you found this article informational or know of someone else who could find it valuable, please don’t hesitate to pass it on via email, Facebook, or Twitter. Thanks a lot! http://twitter.com/basketsbyrita http://www.facebook.com/pages/Baskets-By-Rita/138008009558273

Give the Gift of Fine Wine Is Welcoming
Give the Gift of Fine Wine
Throughout human history, wine has been a celebratory beverage enjoyed in both social and religious events and rituals. For millenia wine has been savored for luxury, festivity, and religious functions. Wine was historically thought to have medical properties and red wine is proven to be good for heart health. Though not all cultures drank wine for recreation, almost every world culture has a wine history whether used as libation or medicine. In my life, wine is appropriate for enjoyment, fun, and from time to time, as medicine. This fact alone makes wine the ideal gift for any event. Each time I need a gift when visiting a friend’s home, as a housewarming present, or in order to say “thank you,” wine is my first choice. Wine is not only a classy gift, but it’s easy to pair with appetizers, meals, and desserts. Enjoyed in high class social groups, wine pairings and tastings are a great way to network and mix with friends. What a great chance to socialize and learn a thing or two as well!
Recently, I found myself in charge of organizing a relatively large social event. In all the chaos of planning and preparations, I forgot to inform one of the event sponsors of a change in date. The day before the show, we became aware of the error when I received a phone call from the sponsor. Because of the misunderstanding, they were unable to play a part in the event and had blocked time out of their schedule for nothing. My initial response in apology was to send the sponsor a wine and cheese basket from Baskets By Rita. For $150 I was able to send them a basket filled with a selection of red and white wines, cookies, an assortment of cheeses, smoked salmon, gourmet crackers, summer sausage, olives, dried fruits, caramel corn, candy, snack mix, fine chocolates, mixed nuts, and more. I decided that this would be a gift that could be shared among all of their employees and I hoped it would convey my apologies for the mix up. I would endorse a Baskets By Rita wine basket for any occasion for which wine is proper. Whether you need to say thank you, send a housewarming gift, apologize, or present a gift when visiting a friend, Baskets By Rita has the ideal wine basket some of which are BV Cabernet Red Wine Gift Basket for the occasion. We include a bottle of BV Cabernet Sauvignon red wine and gourmet munchies: Wine-flavored cheese, crackers, beef summer sausage, chocolates, gourmet cookies, nuts, and more. Red wine baskets make a great thank you basket, housewarning welcome basket, anniversary basket and more. Visit their wine basket page to see their many designs and choices.

Christmas Holiday The Colorado Way
As a true Coloradoan, I have had my share of snowy Christmases. I feel bad for people who have never encountered that for themselves. Christmas embellishments always seem more fitting when laid before a snowy white backdrop. Even though snow is not necessary to have a merry Christmas, good food is a necessity! Some of my favorite Christmas goodies are hot cocoa, toffee and chocolates, cookies, dipped pretzels, caramel corn, candy canes, cheese and crackers, hot coffee, and brownies. The best thing about all of these treats is that even if I don’t have the free time to make them myself, there are plenty of very good Colorado businesses which make all these Christmas goodies not far from where I reside. When I need a pick me up to get me in the Christmas mood or a swift gift to bring with me to a Christmas party, mail to my friends and family out of state, or need a festive center piece for my Christmas table, I go to www.basketsbyrita.com and order their Colorado Christmas Basket. It incorporates all my favorite Colorado Christmas snacks, bringing Christmas wishes to my friends and family without the hours of baking in the kitchen to make all your favorite Christmas snacks. Our Gourmet Christmas holiday gift basket is a yearly tradition for over 18 years. A perfect blend of savory and sweet Colorado favorites are brought together in this holiday green willow basket topped with a festive red and white candy striped bow: This gift selection is also available in an eco-friendly gift bag. Christmas Coming to Colorado Food Scene
As a true Coloradoan, I have had my share of snowy Christmases. I generally pity people who have never witnessed the splendor of snow flakes outside a warm window with twinkling lights glistening off the white terrain. Christmas decorations always seem more suitable when set upon a snowy white setting. Though snow is not required to have a cheerful Christmas, good food is a must! Some of my favorite Christmas goodies are hot cocoa, peanut brittle and caramels, cookies, chocolate covered pretzels, caramel corn, peppermint candies, cheese and crackers, hot coffee, and baked goods. The best thing about all of these treats is that even if I don’t have the energy to prepare them myself, there are hundreds of outstanding Colorado companies which make all these Christmas treats not far from where I reside. When I need a pick me up to put me in the Christmas mood or a quick present to bring with me to a Christmas party, send to my friends and family out of state, or need a merry center piece for my Christmas table, I visit www.basketsbyrita.com and purchase their Colorado Christmas Basket. It carries all my favorite Colorado Christmas munchies, bringing Christmas tidings to my friends and family without the hours of toiling in the kitchen to make all your favorite holiday goodies. Taking Time To Relax
A long week of work and courses leaves me ready to lay back and let go once the weekend strikes. But we all know that the odds of me planning a weekend full of spa like therapy and peace and quiet is scarcely likely. Even if I’m not working I constantly end up with a number of errands that’s piled up over the course of the week, a house to clean, and a bunch of other various tasks that sneak themselves into my schedule somehow. While I may be able to talk someone into giving me a five minute back rub, I don’t think I’ll have time for a manicure and a bubble bath. In today’s world where we live such fast paced lives, it is almost impossible to slink away for an hour or two let alone a full day to just forget about our hectic lives and take a little ‘me’ time. While I can perhaps fit in a trip to the tanning salon or a manicure once a month, it’s not quite enough to make me feel that I’ve completely treated myself. When a holiday or a birthday comes around and someone asks me what I want, the first thing that I think of is “gift cards” or “a new cutting board.” Although these may be shrewd presents, they are essentials and giving these necessities doesn’t require much heart. A gift should be a thing you want, not a thing you need. At times all you need in order to justify a spa treatment is a loved one’s help or seal of approval.. A present should persuade you to take care of yourself, not help you run yourself further into the ground. Although I can say I wouldn’t have much spare time to schedule a spa appointment even if I was given a gift card, I have a few home remedies that will do the trick almost as well. When I think a friend has been working too hard and needs a break, I order them a spa basket from Baskets By Rita to remind them to put aside a little time for their self. Baskets By Rita packs their baskets full of high quality spa products for an all inclusive, at home full spa treatment. The Relaxing Bath Gift Basket is a great example of the kinds of products Baskets By Rita sells. Our bath gift baskets for a woman will relax and impress that special woman. This jute and reed basket is filled with spa quality products including lavender shower gel, body scrub, lavender lotion, large nylon sponge, hand crafted bar of natural lavender soap, Two lavender votive candles and a glass candle holder, peppermint foot soak, lavender scented drawer sachet nd a fun embroidered hand towel. Truly relaxing and fun....She'll love it! . A bath and body gift is the perfect gift basket for any woman. For the person who needs to alleviate some stress and break away from the world for a bit, order a Baskets By Rita spa basket to let them see they’re due a chance to unwind. If you found this blog valuable please repost it to Facebook and Twitter to spread the word! Thanks!

Five Servings A Day Gifts To Deliver
Only a third of all American adults eat two or more servings of fruit daily. When I think of all my favorite fruits: mangos, lychee, cherries, pears, peaches, etc, etc, etc. I think it’s such a shame that more people don’t love the basic beneficial goodness of fruit. Fruit is not only part of a healthy diet, but it is nature’s candy. Fruit contains a small fraction of the calories of your common candy bar, offers enzymes, vitamins, and minerals that are not found in a candy bar, and is all together more nutritive while still able to gratify that sugary sweet tooth. Fruit consumption is also valuable for weight loss. It provides energy, water, minimizes the risk of heart disease and some types of cancer, and can slow down the aging process. Who wouldn’t want to eat more fruit after studying these facts? Next time you have a chance to send a gift, why not send a fruit basket? If you’re going to send someone sweets, why not give the gift of wellness as well?
At Baskets By Rita, we load the freshest, most attractive fruit available into our Survival Gift Basket. Beer, A Brief History Now A Gift
Dating back as early as 7,000 BC beer has been enjoyed by people all across the earth since its origin. While methods and recipes have transformed over time and geography, the basic factors of fermentation and malting are a fabulous scientific discovery. But let’s not get so technical! We get it. Beer has been around forever and people like it! In fact, for much of human history, alcohol was desirable over water, since water purification techniques had not been discovered. Can you imagine a world where it is healthier to down a few beers than to subdue your thirst with water? Try using that excuse next time you stumble home after having one too many! Even though in modern day America we tend to think of beer among the "burger and fries" category more than the five-star restaurant" experience, in ancient times beer was the chosen drink of Egyptian Pharaohs. Countries such as Germany and Belgium are proud of their hundreds of breweries and take the craft of brewing very seriously. Try buying a beer in a Belgian food store. You will literally have hundreds of selections!
In the USA domestic breweries are becoming more and more popular. As a result, beer is becoming more popular in higher class social groups and has gained the popularity of wine in some markets. Take Colorado for instance. Colorado has the most breweries per capita of any U.S. state and I think beer is easily the preferred alcoholic beverage of Coloradoans. As with wine, breweries and a number of restaurants have started pairing beer with certain dishes for a finer dining experience. After thousands of years of experimentation and alteration, there is an endless variety of beers available around the world, and new beers are still being produced. When giving a gift, why not think about incorporating this time honored refreshment? A beer basket from Baskets By Rita is a invigorating and distinctive presentation for any occasion. We can modify any beer gift basket to incorporate your choice of beers or a range decided by our basket making, beer loving experts. We also fill our beer baskets with a variety of munchies like cheese, crackers, chips and salsa, nuts, summer sausage, and popcorn. Take for instance our Beer Gift . Our best selling beer gift comes in a red powder coated metal tub that is waterproof and great for indoor or outdoor use. Just add ice!The perfect gift for all the beer lover's in your life. All baskets come with a six pack of assorted variety Colorado Micro brews. Have a Colorado Gourmet Wine Christmas
In numerous cultures throughout the globe, Christmas is an occasion to indulge. Cultures around the world enjoy Christmas as a time for luxurious indulgence. As the principal commercial holiday of the year, shopkeepers begin distributing Christmas products and streaming the Christmas music as soon as Thanksgiving is over and sometimes earlier! Grand department stores such as Sachs Fifth Avenue and Macy’s put up impressive window displays portraying signs of Christmas in a glitz and glam display of glitter, snow, and red and green striped candy canes. Even countries like Japan, which is not acknowledged as a Christian country, get into the holiday spirit and stock up on gifts for the Christmas season. I guess the spirit of giving is irresistible even when separated from its religious roots. The spirit of indulgence which Christmas brings upon us is not only extended to the gifts we give, but it branches out to encompass the décor we see all over town and best of all, the food we love! Have you ever wandered through neighborhoods at night just to look at all of the Christmas lights on front lawns and roof tops? And how many times have you given yourself a belly ache with all the Christmas sweets you ate at the Christmas cookie exchange? These Christmas traditions are formed throughout the years in order to give us something to look forward to in the gloom of winter.
Christmas is a time to honor life. In a religious context, Christmas is a celebration of the birth of God’s son on Earth, Jesus Christ. Even people who are not Christian have adopted Christmas for the feeling of togetherness it brings to friends and families. Christmas is a time for gourmet living as I have mentioned before. Everything from the dishes you eat to the decorations you put up to the presents you give suggests the season of the holiday, but they are not without cost. In hard economic times, we see people limiting their Christmas spending and making necessary sacrifices to save money. Some people choose to buy a fake tree to save themselves the expense of purchasing a new one every year. Other people choose energy saving Christmas lights so they will have a smaller energy bill at the end of the year. And some people choose to relinquish purchasing the ready made honey baked ham and to cook a ham at home instead. However your family chooses to save money this year, there is no reason why you should have to cut down on your gift giving just to save money. Sweet say to gift thanks
As the leaves begin to change and drop from the trees and the air chills telling of the coming of winter, we put away our shorts and flip flops and get out our hats and long sleeves. While the cool drop in temperature may be a needed change from the sizzle of summer, it also reminds us that the days are getting shorter and we will be spending much more time at home hibernating. Some folks consider autumn their favorite season and it does present many occasions for festivity and a chance for us to spend time with friends and family as we seek shelter indoors and search for ways to amuse ourselves and keep our spirits high. When we think of autumn we think of pumpkins, turkeys, red, orange, and yellow leaves, and harvest festivals. As the outside world dies for the days of cold ahead, we celebrate life in hopes that we may continue to be blessed in the months to come. We enjoy the gifts of the harvest and give thanks for our many blessings. Putting aside the getaways and weekend excursions of summer, we prepare ourselves for a drearier oncoming of winter by making enjoyment in a time when it is harder to find in our surroundings. The winter months are known as the ‘holidays,’ but the holidays really start with Halloween and Thanksgiving, traditions which have been around for hundreds of years which allow us to gather with friends and find enjoyment in life. This fall, show gratitude for those you are thankful for by sending them a fall themed gift basket from Baskets By Rita. Thank your business clients, distant family, or a special friend for the role they serve in your life with a basket loaded with apple cider mix, cheesy snack mix, pumpkin candies, beef jerky, trail mix, and any of the rest of our delicious, autumn appropriate snacks.

Fall Birthdays Deserve Fall Gift Baskets
Harvest Time
As we find ourselves half way through the summer months, we start to look forward to the fall. With the changing of the leaves, the cooling of the air, and the shortening of the days, we are reminded of the approach of winter and the end of a new year. But let’s not get too far ahead of ourselves. Fall itself has many of its own assets. For thousands of years, autumn has been the time of year to celebrate the harvest and the gift of food. representations such as pumpkins, gourds, and brightly colored leaves are traditional in the United States as we celebrate Thanksgiving Day and Halloween. As the days get shorter and cooler, we draw our attention from the dreariness of the season and distract ourselves with celebrations of friends, family and food, reflecting on the things we’re thankful for. Wouldn’t it be nice to show up to Thanksgiving Dinner this year with a little something more than the traditional salad or loaf of bread to share? Or how would you like to surprise your distant relatives with a seasonal treat that says “I’m thinking of you and I’m thankful to have you in my life.”
Baskets By Rita has the perfect gift to share around the table or to send to those great friends you love in this time of thanks. An abundance of gourmet food in a fall harvest theme make this Gourmet Fall Gift basket a great gift to give that special someone. We have included Autumn candy mix, pistachios, cheesy snack mix, sliced summer sausage, beef jerky, caramel apple popcorn, corn chips, salsa, pumpkin candies, maple shortbread cookies, cheddar cheese, fudge, Chai apple cider, trail mix, wheat crackers and more. Send this basket to an office staff as a business thank you gift or even a birthday gift basket for that special someone. This unique gift basket is a fun way for you to bring the gift of good food to your family and friends now matter how near or far away! As the summer sun fades making way for the crisp, cool air of fall, remember those you are thankful for in your life and send them their own little piece of the fall harvest!

Newborn Baby Gifts That Welcome
Celebrating the arrival of a baby regarless of how many times you have experienced it with family, friends and co-workers is always magical. Why does it seem that the birth a new baby is always special? The event is something the demands notice and celebration. Perhaps it is because we naturally realize that it means that life does go on. It also reminds us of our own youth and beginning. A whole new life filled with hope, joy and discovery. Statistics show that in the US the new born baby birth rate has been declining over the past 12 years . The drop in teen pregnancy has unmistakably been one of the most important public health success stories of the past decade as well.
Now about the celebration piece of this new born baby process. People welcome new born babies in loads of different way. Of course there is the fashionable baby shower gift to consider, if you are fortunate enough to be invited. This baby gift is something that you can done even if you live in another state. Baby shower gifts can either be in themes like first baby we need all the necessities to oh we know it’s a boy so bring on the blue boy things. There is also the corporate gifts for new babies that are mostly less personal and may even contain things for the family as well.
Welcome new born baby gift baskets can be easy to find and welcomed by the new mom and Dad. I might suggest that you take a stroll through the internet discovering baby girl bassinet gift baskets. Baby baskets come in bassinet style gifts, radio flyer wagons in small size, fabric lined baskets perfect of use in the nursery and even willow handled baskets too. Items used to fill these inventive baskets can range from sweets for the parents, wine to toast the arrival, rattles, teething rings, wash cloths, baby bath products, ultra soft blankets, baby clothes, and even handmade baby quilts with personalized embroidery to mark the birth. The beauty of these gifts is once you find a brilliant source it can make your gift giving quick and trouble-free for future births.

Moms Where Ever You Are
The origin of Mother’s day goes back to 1907 when Anna M. Jarvis, a Philadelphia school teacher (1864-1948), began a movement to set up a national Mother's Day in respect of her mother, Ann Maria Reeves Jarvis. She solicited the help of hundreds of legislators and foremost businessmen to make a special day to honor all mothers. The first Mother's Day ceremony was a church service honoring Anna's mother. Anna handed out her mother's favorite flowers, the white carnations, on the occasion as they signify sweetness, purity, and patience. Anna's hard work eventually paid off in the year 1914, when President Woodrow Wilson stated publicly the second Sunday in May as a national holiday in honor of mothers.
This year is expected to be the biggest in terms of those choosing to shop online for mothers day. Many people live a huge distance from their mother so shopping online makes perfect sense. Another reason is the selection is most wonderful and the convenience is hard to beat.
Research in 2006 concluded that 35% of the adult population chose chocolates and spa bath products to send to their mothers for Mothers Day as the most popular gift, over flowers and plants, by a good margin. I think that is has to do with the recession and the desire to give mom something that will last and that gives her some extra fulfillment. There are some fantastic dark chocolates and healthy snack out there that don’t come with too many calories and contain some additional health benefits.
With that in mind we have made some suggestions below to assist with Mothers Day and help you chose what to buy that special mom in your life on the one day of the year specifically for your Mother where you can thank her and show her you care.
Consider sending a healthy food gift, a relaxation gift basket, gourmet chocolate gift basket, Mother’s day spa gift basket, Cabernet red wine basket, Riesling wine gift baskets. Our gifts feature Godiva chocolates, high quality bath products and Starbucks coffee too. Easy to give, beautifully designed and gift baskets delivered on time. Wishing all the Mothers around the world a happy Mother’s Day 2010 on Sunday!
